IOGEAR showed a PCIe USB 3.0 host adapter at Digital Experience during CES week. Standard specs, but one of the first USB 3.0 adapters we’ve seen. We’ll finally be able test some of those 3.0 peripherals that are coming and determine if they’re truly 3.0 or 2.0 in disguise.

I’m not surprised to find an NEC chip on the board and pretty excited that IOGEAR is getting out a little bit ahead of some of their competitors.

Price and release date was not available, but we were told early 2010 for certain. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear anything.
