LG showed their stunning SlimLine LCD TV’s at CES. The setup was absolutely impressive, with a wall full of gigantic (50+”) LCD’s. These sets have, now almost standard, 240hz-TruMotion technology, 1080p, but also bring the ultra slim formfactor to the table.

It might be hard to see in the pictures, but these sets are less than a hair under 1 inch (25mm, .98 inches).
Did I mention this thing is .98 inches thick? That’s less than the half of the average prong on your fork. A little less than half of a business card folded in half.
Not only are these sets thin, but the LCD also provides a picture that is closer to the edge of the set than previous versions.

The applications here are endless, but I’m more focused on getting 144 of these and creating a gigantic, close to seamless, 16×9 screen. That’s right, it’s really really late and I can still do math. (Not really, another one of our folks, Sara, did it for me).
