Ankit is new to the headphone game and they’re doing it with an attitude. Named after the founder (and as he says, “Named after a great guy”), they’re giving us a stylish earbud with very decent sound. The strength of the earphone is the “advanced g-bass technology” which “delivers loud sound with clear low notes”. Cursory listening to a little hip-hop confirmed this. The lows were very impactful, even on the noisy CES show floor. Touted as “ergonomically designed for comfortable fit and better noise isolation”, I can say that this is true. I was able to briefly enjoy some dancey music in a noisy environment, hearing nothing but the music and receiving no sign of the plentiful noise about me.
They are available in four styles: skull, teddy-bear, snake, and pink butterfly (for chicks). The rep stated that they were a Kanye West kind of earphone, stylish. Tech Bucket Blog received a complimentary pair for review. Initial listening revealed the strong bass but the mids and highs were kind of recessed. My hunch is that they will benefit from a little break-in. I’m very hopeful for these earphones and a full review is coming following about 50 hours of break-in. They retail for about $45.
