Never heard of Electro Joe? No surprise as they’ve been focusing on 28 other countries not called The United States…and we’ve been totally missing out.

Tech Bucket Blog got an upfront look at probably the smallest iPod (or anything else 3.5mm plug) speaker on the market. The sound is good enough, but you’re not looking at a pair of Wilsons here and if you’re expecting that then Lego Construction Guy wants to have a word with you.

That’s right, this speaker solution is smaller than Lego Dude. (See the amp in the picture?)

The sound will remind you of turning up the volume on a cheap pair of plastic speakers. The sound isn’t bad at all when you consider the size of the speaker. It’s a key chain on it, so there’s no question that this is a casual listening product. (Seriously? I need to explain that?)

They’re called Mighty Mini Speaker, and there should be no question about the mighty part. Cranked up (not even all the way) and on a noisy show floor, I could hear the unit clearly and watched the little guy bounce up and down.

It’s chargeable via USB to your computer and will give you about 2.5 hours of playback.

Electro Joe is looking for a US distribution partner, so someone pick this up please? We’d like to really see people get the kick out of the Mighty Mini Speaker that we got. List price is 14.99. Check them out at www.electrojoe.com

Non-cool people, need not apply.

(Editor’s Note: There aren’t a lot of products that we really find cool in a strange kind of way to promote so shamelessly. We were not paid in anyway shape or form by Electro Joe. We just stopped by their booth for a few minutes while we were wandering around CES.)
