If you know Griffin Technology, then it should be no surprise to you what I am about to say…

I know Griffin Technology for (in my opinon) deceptively simple products for single purpose applications. Everything from iTrip to iCurve are simple, extremely well designed products that fit that model. The products tend not to be overly expensive, but they also are not overly cheap either. If there’s something for some Apple product that you own (Mac, iPod, etc) that there will probably be something that Griffin makes that will enhance it or improve something on it to make you happy.

Griffin’s newest offering doesn’t stray from that at all. Griffin’s Hands-free Mic with Audio Cable combines a high-sensitivity mic with a stereo cable. That’s it, simple. No buttons, no power cords, no configuration. Plug in your iPhone (or any other mobile phone with a 3.5mm stereo plug) and you’ll be able to get music and pick-up calls with one cable. All you have to do is flip a little switch to pick-up calls. That’s it.

It’s the simplicity in their products that keep us coming back to Griffin Technology time and again to see what’s new. Several other products were announced at CES as well including TuneJuice Universal and iFM.

Hands-free Mic with Audio Cable will be available around March 2010 for $29.99.
