I have a Mac. I love my Mac. It’s the only computer that I’ve ever known since System 7 on a Mac Classic to OS-9 on my PowerBook G4 and then into OS-X and now my MacBook Pro. I love it. I’ve never had any regrets in begging and pleading for a Mac while everyone else in high school got their Windows boxes.

Really. I’ve never had to deal with issues that other people have had. Virus (Viri?), I’ve never even know that to be a problem on my Mac. Sure, I’ve had issues with spyware and trojan horses, but I learned from my mistakes and now I know better.

Of course I’ve had Windows too. All my laptops from work have been Windows, but for my work, I use Mac. No problems with the dreaded Anna Kornikova virus or Monkey B boot sector virus. I’ve never had the pleasure. (And she’s not that hot, sorry boys.)

I’ve been laughed at, teased, and called a bunch of names for sticking with Apple as long as I have and now, my friends, it seems that people are starting to see what I have known. I’ve got the better computing experience.

Whenever I mention to a friend (or the few non-Mac Editors here at Tech Bucket Blog) that Macs are safer on-line, they tell me it’s because no-one uses Macs, so people who write virus programs don’t bother with Macs that are a small percentage of the overall computing world.

Well, it seems, other folks support my claim that 10% (and growing) of the entire computing space is not insignificant.

So explains Steve Jack over at MacDailyNews.com,
“The idea that Windows’ morass of security woes exists because more people use Windows and that Macs have no security problems because fewer people use Macs, is simply not true. By design, Mac OS X is simply more secure than Windows. Period. “

Awesome article written by Steve Jack and you all check it out.

I know…someone out there is going to point out that Mr. Jack is just another Mac guy writing on a Mac blog. Jeez…if that’s the only argument, then why not just say “your momma where’s combat boots” and settle this argument in the pathetic fanboy way that it’s always been discussed?

Sorry, but I’m inclined to agree with Steve (both Jack and Jobs). That’s from me…Sara Baker…long time Mac and PC user.

I love this…
