There was at least one company at MacWorld showing products for iPad. Targus, showed a wide variety of cases and sleeves for iPad along with their regular line of products for laptops (bags, sleeves, cases, etc.).
Nothing surprising here, but I somehow expected a little more buzz about the iPad at MacWorld than I got. That is until, a friend of mine in the industry reminded me that vendors haven’t had time to get anything ready. True, considering Apple’s even was just a few weeks ago, I guess I shouldn’t be that surprised.
The Targus cases and sleeves were all pretty straight forward. A few of them actually looked like regular MacBook Air sleeves just pulling double duty to work with iPad. They had everything ranging from fabric, spandex sleeves, all the way up to some nice leather cases.
However, they did have one interesting design. The iPad is in a padfolio like case, so it opens like a leather bound writing tablet, but with a twist. The padfolio case doubles as an easel like stand. Pretty interesting and nicely leather-bound style made this stand-out in the crowd. The inside is a nice soft velvet like material…and you know how I am about velvet…

Unfortunately, no pricing was yet available and shipping date is to be close to when iPad launches. Beyond that, I really couldn’t get too much information.
At least there was something iPad at the show.
