Absolutely, 100% this is a must have app for Android devices everywhere. If you don’t have it, download it now!!!

It’s a simple media player with access to almost all CBS programming. You’ll find shows and clips from Smallville all the up to NCIS. But we love this app for another reason. Not for the new shows, but the classic shows that they have…oh like MacGyver.

C’mon…who doesn’t like a little MacGyver on their phone? It doesn’t look like the episodes get refreshed all that often, but once in a while you’ll get some new ones.

If MacGyver isn’t good enough for you, then you’ll find Family Ties, Hawaii Five-O, and bunch of other classic TV shows that are perfect for portable viewing.

Video quality is pretty good. It’s not hi-def or as sharp as if you purchased the video and downloaded it yourself, but the streaming quality is good enough for you to watch a show and still enjoy it. If you’ve missed an episode of CSI and want to catch it, chances are you’ll find it on here.

Classic TV, though, is where its at. For the old shows most of the sound wasn’t stereo back then anyways, so you’re getting mono sounds, but it’s just like you remember it to be on your old 19″ tube set.

The interface allows you fast forward, pause, rewind, etc, all the things you’d expect from a video player are here. Ad supported in a Hulu like style, so you’ll have to sit through 1-3 ads a few times. It’s not bad and to me, it only adds to the old school TV like feel.

One drawback is that some shows are only available WiFi only. Meaning if you’re out and about on VZW’s 3G network, you won’t be able to get that video you’ve been hunting for.

Still, I tried viewing an episode of NCIS that was labelled WiFi only and I was still able to watch it on 3G only mode. Of course, the video took a lot longer to buffer, but it will go sometimes. Just don’t expect it all the time.

It’s a free app that plays classic and current TV shows. Not all shows are available in full episode format, so you might be a little disappointed. If that’s you, then just fire up a classic episode of MacGyver and be happy in all the mullet glory.
