One day, that’s going to be me. Rocket on my back and flying off to wherever the heck I want to go. I mean, really, going to work is a comute that I’d actually be looking forward to. What else says “good morning world” like zipping around on my own rocket pack?

Wife, kids, they’re all on the ground. Me? I’m the Rocketman!

I’m not sure if I’ll miss the earth, but maybe I’ll miss my wife. Because, you know…it’s lonely out in space, especially on such a timeless flight.

And I think it’s gonna be a long long time, ’til touch down brings me me round again to find, I’m not the man they think I am at home…oh no. No no, I’m the rocket man!!!

*ahem*…sorry…

Credit where credit’s due. Nice song Elton John, but I still want my rocket pack.

Seriously? Why can’t I have one? 007 used one in a movie once. Rocketeer used it to be a superhero. So that means for me, the possibilities are endless!!! It looks like I’ll get my wish one day.

The Martin Jetpack is coming closer and closer to reality. I’ve seen this machine through the concepts since 1998 to production and it looks awesome. Still has ways to go in perfecting the jetpack idea but it’s one step closer. The current price tag of $100,000 isn’t much compared to a sports car, a custom chopper, a power boat, or a light aircraft. In it’s current stage, it’s just a rich man’s toy.

Anyone wanna float me $100,000 so I can save the world?
