Yup. That’s what I think of Elinor Burkett and her antics yesterday during the Academy Awards. “Nuts”, might not be appropriate as perhaps “crazy” or even in need of serious professional help.

I don’t know what goes on in a person’s mind when they decide, “hey, I think I’ll go up on stage” during a time when it’s clearly someone else’s moment. I mean, it’s a once in a lifetime thing to win an Oscar, so let the dude have his moment.

Nope, Elinor had to go for it.

There’s a backstory here though. Burkett (the lady) is a producer on Ross Williams’ film, “Music by Prudence” and the two have had a falling out of sorts. Now, Williams and Burkett don’t speak with each other.

Unfortunately for Elinor, they only had one Oscar and it was for Williams not Burkett, so why she went up on stage and upstaged Williams, I don’t know. It does lead us here to say: Elinor, if we gave out fish-head buckets as an award, you just won the very first one.
