Okay Nintendo, for some reason, Wii VC has just taken a total back seat in your book. I don’t know why, maybe you’re not making enough money or maybe you think that just dripping out one game at a time will keep us fans even more interested.

Maybe.

But I’m pissed off. You go weeks of giving me junk and then land a sweet title this week (that I’m playing for the first time), when the week prior you gave us squat. Zero. Zip. Zilch. No love at all.

What gives?

Actually, I don’t care what gives. I’m here to say, you win. I get it. You hate me and I’m sorry too. Maybe I’ve been expecting too much out of Wii VC, maybe classic gaming is done and you should go make more money elsewhere.

I hear something called “Move” from Sony is going to make PS3 Wii like with a magic wand like controller. So, I understand, you’ve got bigger fights to fight now. So, I’ll keep it easy.

How about giving us a game like Keith Courage in Alpha Zones? I mean, it was a TG-16 pack-in, and heck, I liked playing it. It wasn’t deep, but the music and graphics were cute and catchy even!

I mean, it was solid platforming fun with some RPG elements thrown in there. Like Alex Kidd in Miracle World, you collect money and use the money to buy health, fortune (game hints, not helpful!), and weapons.

There was also an element of alternate realities in this title, something that was really new to the 16-bit story-telling formula.

You pick-up and “Alpha” suit, which turns you into a Gundam like character and off you go to find the boss-fight.

Mix, change colors, repeat a few more times and that’s the game. Not deep,

Still, it seems this game just belongs on Wii VC doesn’t it? I mean, it was a pack-in game for TG-16. We have Super Mario Bros. (pack-in for NES), Super Mario World (pack-in for SNES), Altered Beast (in multiple flavors, also a pack-in for Genesis), so why the heck not Keith Courage?

C’mon, Nintendo. You keep shafting us, at least shaft us right and stick to your pattern. Keith Courage stunk, but it was a pack-in stink and if you owned a TG-16, you played it a-lot (or until you saved enough money for another game).

So, bring it!
