Nintendo, confirmed yesterday the existence of a 3D DS console aptly called Nintendo 3DS. It’s not a 3D-FPS capable system, but a true 3D console without the use of any type of special glasses.

Screen size is said to be similar to the larger DSi XL, so it’s going to have a heftier screen size than a DS available today. The real kicker is being able to display 3D images without the use of glasses.

More specs and detailed information is expected at E3 (which we’re going to, of course!). No information on pricing, although there’s a ton of speculation already. Only information on shipping is sometime between now and March 31, 2011.

That’s helpful right? Check out more details over at CNN.com.
