Really. Curious at how much radiation you’re being exposed to by your cell phone? There’s an App for that and it doesn’t just work on iPhone. Tawkon (nice name) is an Israeli start-up firm that’s developed an app that does just what it says, it tells you how much radiation you’re being exposed to.

Whatever your belief (yes or no), it’s a cheap enough app that if you’re a hypochondriac like me, paying for the app makes a heck of a lot sense. Consider it a self-help or fitness app. It’s designed to keep you safe by giving you some information you can use to make a decision on.

Their website provides some pretty interesting information on the whole SAR subject. The app is not available yet. Right now, there is a beta going on for just iPhone users. However, indications are that there will be support for Android, Blackberry, Palm, Windows Mobile, and Symbian devices. That pretty much covers the whole entire smartphone market.
