It’s April Fools day today. We were thinking pretty hard yesterday how we could celebrate this fun and interesting day and rather than prank ourselves on our blog, we all started sharing our own April Fools Day stories and some of them were pretty funny.

So, we’re going to share a few of those today. Starting with me and a few others will chime in as well.

I can’t say I’ve got a really good prank, but I’ve been pranked pretty good by my colleagues and co-workers. Once, one of my co-workers called me up at work exclaiming a need for one of the most expensive products that we had. She faked her voice pretty good and I had no idea.

That’s probably the best prank I’ve had pulled on me. Of course, I pulled a great one on my boss once. I duped him into thinking I was getting married and would have to take 3 months off for an Asian Wedding Sabbatical. I had the entire company (HR, his boss, his boss’s boss, and everyone in the entire company (all 120+ people) in on it except for him. It wasn’t easy, but I had help from a master con-woman and pulled it off. Had him going for a full month prior to April Fools and finally broke the news to him on April 1st that the joke was on him.

Funny thing though, I didn’t get married until years later, but my wife and I went to the justice-of-the-peace on April 1st, so our marriage license says 4/1 as our legal wedding anniversary.
