Fresh from our commentary, about how much we love High Voltage, comes fresh Conduit 2 screens released just yesterday. To say sweet, is a little understated.

Four player split screens and sweet new baddies top out the drool worthy screens. Yes, PS3/Xbox360 owners, we know these screens look dated compared to your sweet overpowered console, but graphics aren’t everything you know.

We’re not just saying that. If you think back to N64’s Goldeneye, there were so many things flawed in that game. At the end though, it’s the fun gameplay and clean controls that kept you coming back for more. It didn’t hurt that the graphics weren’t terrible.

To us, we’re looking at Conduit 2 (and feel that way about The Conduit) the same way. Yup. It’s a fresh take. Something unique. We’re taking the game for what it is: an honest to goodness hard working developer’s solid effort at creating a Wii game from the ground up and not some crappy shovelware port. There. We said it. Shocking isn’t it?

That’s our take and that’s why we’re tracking this game. It’s exciting and cool to us as it’s one of the few true efforts on Wii that doesn’t play like it’s designed for a 6 year old.

Check out the screens over at Examiner.com.
