I’m still wondering if anything is truly leaked to the media anymore. I guess I’m just getting more and more cynical, but I don’t believe in leaks anymore. Not when the images are so clean, at least when they’re blurry there’s the sense that the shot was quickly taken and snuck out (still hard to believe), but these days it seems that the majority of corporate espionage folks are calm, cool, collected and trained to take steady shots and sneak out spec sheets and PowerPoint files.
Sure web enabled phones and higher res pocket/phone cameras have made getting (read: stealing) information much easier and quicker these days, but I still can’t believe that companies like HP would find it difficult to protect information they really didn’t want leaked.
HP’s Slate (I like hPad better and I think HP should change the name) specs have been leaked and running wild on the W cubed (get it? WWW? okay, I’m trying too hard today).
Take a gander over at Wired.com or Engadget.com for the full sized version (links below).
I happen to agree with Wired.com, content (the easily accessible kind) and UI will win out over higher tech specs. Betamax vs. VHS anyone?
