We’re going to give Intego some serious props. They’ve got to be the first, if not the only, Mac antivirus package that supports scanning iPhone/iPod Touch for malware and generally nasty stuff. Now, they’re upping the ante even more by adding iPad support.

Okay, scoff if you want to. We get that iPad OS is not all that different from iPhone/iPod Touch OS, but still, credit where credit is due. Not only that, but if own VirusBarrier X6 already, you get iPad support as a free upgrade to the latest version VirusBarrier X6 10.6.5.

We’ve looked at (and been very pleased) with Intego’s software before and we highly recommend it. It’s not expensive, easy to use and it works. Nothing wrong with a smidgen of protection, even just a drop.

(Editor’s Note: Yes, this is the same company that sent out a press release on April Fool’s that got us real good. A company with a whicked, cheaky sense of humor? C’mon, how can you not like them?)
