Earth Day is quick approaching. In case you don’t know, it’s April 22nd, just a little over a week away. It’s time to think about those 3 R’s that folks keep throwing at us: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

It’s an old cliched line, but it still rings true in 2010.

As we’ve said before, whatever your feelings on the subject (no global warming, etc, etc), you have to admit that we all share one common precious and limited resource…The Earth.

We keep torching it and using it up and we’ll have nothing left. Those rocket ships that can ferry us to Mars aren’t ready just yet and terraforming technology is still a little ways off, so we’d best take care of what we have and now.

E-cycling is a great way to make a small contribution and get rid of the clutter in your house. Just throwing out old electronic gear can be really bad. A lot of the stuff we use can leech harmful chemicals into land-fills and cause a whole ton of problems.

That’s why, we’re happy to announce (for those in So-Cal and within driving distance of Orange County, California) that IOGEAR is hosting an e-cycle event on April 22nd.

Individuals, businesses and any local groups to throw their unwanted gear and IOGEAR will take care of it for you. Not only that, but you get a discount voucher for IOGEAR’s products. Put it to good use and pick-up the Solar Bluetooth Hands Free Car-Kit that I’m rockin’ and make calls that save the Planet (and save you a ticket from CHP).

This Earth Day, April 22nd, IOGEAR will be hosting a electronic recycling amnesty, and encouraging local businesses, schools, colleges and individuals to bring down their unwanted electronics for earth-friendly recycling and to receive discount vouchers for all IOGEAR technology products.

The event starts on April 22nd (9:00 AM to 7:00 PM) and runs through April 30th (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Except for Saturday and Sunday (no even then).

Point your hybrids down to IOGEAR’s World Corporate HQ over at: 19641 Da Vinci, Foothill Ranch, CA 92610.
