You gotta love those guys over at Brando. They get their hands on some pretty funky gadgets. USB hand and footwarmers, whatever…you name it and they probably got it or are getting it soon.

We check on their site once in a while and see what turns up our fancy. Today, I found a little mini-blow torch, something they call 1300-degree Microflame. There are few things like this out there, namely mini blowtorches. You can find them at hardware stores, hobby shops, where ever you expect to find small precision burning gear.

Me? The only reason I even know about this stuff? My brothers once used one to do some “work” around the house, namely trying to cut a hole in the refrigerator, which my mom promptly discovered and grounded them for a month for even trying it.

For some strange reason, I’ve been attracted to the pocket flame ever since.

Keep in mind, I’ve never actually used this Pocket Micro Power Jet, but 1300 degrees is hot enough to melt more than butter. The geek applications are endless from small repairs on your pocket F-18 to making a super crispy (and strange tasting) grilled cheese. Mmmmmmm!!!!

This product is unique not in it’s application, but the fact that you power it with a simple disposable lighter. You know, the kind you get at the dollar store for 5 in a box?
