A homemade card is a perfect fit for Mother’s Day and doubly better considering it’s Retro Weekends here at Tech Bucket Blog.

Frankly, I don’t know who made this card, but it looks pretty artsy crafty in a 2nd grader kind of way. I take it back, I’ve seen 2nd graders these days, and this is definitely more of a 1st grader’s handy work.

Great choice of colors and the inside cover is sweet with a home portrait of the family.

Oh wait…what’s that you say? This is the Mother’s Day card made by one of our Senior Editors? (Shawn Chen and his kids)

Hahahaha…that makes it even funnier. A grown man taking a huge chance by making this card and parying that the other Editors won’t know?

No way man…we snuck in our people and snapped a few pictures.

And now they’re up for everyone to see. Nice handy work Chen. You still got the crayon skills. But really, what’s a better Mother’s Day gift than this? It just oozes love all over the place

I’m gettin’ word that the card was made by kids and dad together (and clearly Daddy’s wearing the blue jeans and check out that melon! Even the kids know he’s got a big melon).

Enough poking fun. It’s a sweet card and we at Tech Bucket Blog want to wish all the Mom’s out there a Happy Mother’s Day! Whatever it is you Mom’s do today, we hope you get to spend it with your family.

Happy Mother’s Day.

(Editor’s Note: At the time of this article, The Baker clan have yet to venture out to Denny’s for their traditional Mother’s Day brunch, now 15 years running. Have fun Bakers! Happy Mother’s Day Mrs. Baker. Thanks for the cookies last week that you made for your daughter and I horked down when she wasn’t looking.)

(Editor’s Note II: Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! I hope you get those flowers I sent and I’ll be by later this morning and we’ll head out for a nice brunch. Your choice, of course, but I made us reservations at this sweet place in Palo Alto…)
