This one, I had to put up. For some strange reason, which means it’s usually under the guise of “security and safety”, iPad’s are on the banned items list at Yankee Stadium.

No, really. You read that right. Have iPad and Yankees tix? You’ll have to pick one of two. ‘Duk over at Yahoo! Sports did some digging into it, and the Yanks don’t allow laptops either and iPad falls under the laptop category.

Maybe someone over at the Yankees needs to watch Steve Jobs’ keynote on iPad launch again, but I clearly remember hearing Steve saying the iPad is not a MacBook (i.e. laptop), but something between a MacBook and iPhone.

Personally, I think the Yanks are PO’d at Apple for not supporting Flash on the device and this is their way of showing it. I’m sticking to that, no matter what anyone says!

I can sort of understand it though. It is sort of a big device to be whipping out in the middle of a game, plus I can’t see a whole lot of baseball fans taking their iPad to the game. Dunno, it just “feels” silly to me.

Check out the details over at Yahoo.com
