WTF?? I’m sick and tired of sorting through another heaping pile of crap of Verizon iPhone rumors. Every single time Apple sneezes and schedules an event, this rumor rears it’s ugly head.
Are we bloggers that desperate for cheap page-views that we’re willing to make-up or post any silly iPhone related rumor? This has got to be the bloggers version of the cheap WWE pop. Grab a mike, scream to the home crowd how awesome the town you’re in is and watch as the whole place erupts in a mass of bargain bin euphoria.
Can’t we just let this rumor rest for a while? Seriously folks, just screaming for it during every Apple media event isn’t going to make us bloggers anymore correct when Apple does finally release the iPhone on Verizon.
I’ll eat my dirty ol’ sneakers that are sitting my recycle bin tomorrow if Apple does announce Verizon iPhone today. In fact, I’ll eat my smelly, sweat stenched, fungal ridden, sneaks sashimi-style with heaping portions of wasabi…and do it all with a big fat grin on my face.
IF it happens tomorrow…and I’m fresh out of wasabi and I ain’t rushin’ out to grab any, if you know what I mean.
Look, if a Verizon iPhone happens, it’ll be after September 30th and possibly float into January 2011. And that’s a big “IF” at that.
My advice? Don’t believe any rumor about VZW iPhone today. If you plan on getting a smartphone from Verizon, get it. If you’re close to an upgrade and are willing to wait it out for a few more months, do it. Otherwise, just bury this rumor already.
Don’t worry…we’ll dig it back up again after the rotting rumor gets ripe.
