Who wants some? Come get some, cuz Duke Nukem’s comin’ back. Supposedly.

It’s been 10+ years and this on again-off again game just won’t die. This time Duke’s got a lot of baggage. He’s (or at least the IP has) been through takeovers, sales, bankruptcies, dev limbo and IP limbo.

Next to a famous #4’s annual summer ritual, watching for Duke Nukem news is the gaming industry’s version of Brett Favre.

But crazy as it is, I think Duke’s finally coming back with a release date in 2011. Word is probably around March, but don’t quote me on it. A demo is said to be coming real fast, so maybe it’ll be just after the New Year?

We can’t wait.

But…in the meantime, I’d sure like see some classic CGA styled 2D Duke Nukem come back (with a VGA refresh of course). And while you’re at it, a little Commander Keen action would be friggin’ sweet.
