Home saunas are no joke anymore. They have fancy mood lighting, infra-red heating elements (or just plain ol' electric), humidity settings, digital temperature controls, and modular designs that make them a little "portable". The sound systems on these things are no joke either. Some rival the average stock radio in a car with options such as bluetooth (why?) and of course the obligatory..... [ read more ]

The worst part of this situation is that brewing immigration debate that boils over every once in a while in the US, is becoming so deafening and filled with noise that it's hard to understand what's goign on. No sensibility at all here and to me, it certainly looks like hatemongers have taken over the debate. I'm not saying if you're against the law, you're not throwing hate terms around..... Arizona recently passed a tough new state law targeted against illegal immigrants. It's a complicated issue that is almost always a very polarized discussion. Very rarely do people seem to fall on the middle on this issue, it seems to me that people are either totally against the law or totally for it. At issue the state law in Arizona, (SB 1070) is the ability for police and other law..... [ read more ]

Burger King, you're my second favorite spot to get a burger, and number one when I'm out of In-N-Out range (which means, the Double-Double is better than BK any day). Now comes word that BK is testing out a brunch concept at BK's in Florida and Massachusetts. If the brunch concept works, BK looks to include it in other places around the country and eventually spread it all over. Me? I'm..... [ read more ]

By now, you've all read stories about an Apple engineering model iPhone being left behind on a barstool somewhere in Palo Alto. Said iPhone was found and picked up by a bystander who checked it out and kept it. The story goes that the Finder figured out whose iPhone it was (an engineer at Apple), dug into it some more, waffled about keeping it or returning it, only to find the iPhone wiped by..... I'm one of those who look through the tabloids near the check-out registers in the grocery store. It's my own little dirty TV fav to watch TMZ and browse for celebrity gossip and news. Is it bad to fill my head up with all that useless junk? It's not dangerous to my health like a greasy burger once in a while, but I'm sure I could fill that space up with something more useful. Still, it's..... [ read more ]

I can't get over this one. First, it was Apple "banning" Flash from iPad proclaiming it the reason as why most web browsers (and sometimes computers) crash. Then it was Adobe firing back saying with something along the lines of, well something like: "Apple, your mama wear's combat boots". Now, I don't know how to score any of this as I'm not a software..... [ read more ]

If Jar-Jar and his pals haven't torqued you off enough and you're a fan of the "Clone Wars" cartoons (like me), then you'll probably be totally interested in Star Wars being done into a sitcom. Details are still sketchy, but a few folks from Robot Chicken (awesome and cute Seth Green) are on board to help out, so it's bound to be funny. The concept is to bridge the Star Wars movies in a way..... [ read more ]
