SI's Peter King is one of my favorite sports writers, has been for a long time. Honest, opinionated, even when he's admitting he's wrong. If you haven't been following this story, here's a recap. Peter King wrote last year on TO's next team after the Buffalo Bills. Purely off the cuff (he's a pretty big guy, not that big guy's can't run), he wrote that..... [ read more ]

(Infinite Technologies Infinite USB Memory Drive, IUM, not pictured. That's as stock of a USB dongle picture as I could find.) Let's make this clear. I have not now, nor probably ever, tested or looked at Infinitec's "infinite" flash drive (all your's for $129). I won't look at it because it's a little pricey for what it does and I'll probably never look at it because after the folks at..... [ read more ]

Sort of shocking really. I was about to finally cave and purchase the new Kindle for $139 (yes, WiFi only for me), only to find it was sold out as early as this past weekend. I can't say I was surprised, but a probably more bummed and disappointed. The price is really good and the 3G+WiFi version (6" eInk screen) is only $189, making it equally wantable. Unfortunately, that one too is..... [ read more ]

It used to be, not so long ago, that "jailbreaking" your iPhone was a clandestine affair. Some of those "instructional" sites had links to some not so grandma safe websites, if you get the picture. Not all mind you, but a few. Reminded me of shopping for Warez for a..... [ read more ]

You Android fanboys out there, don't get all hyped up and excited over news that Android OS is out-pacing iPhone OS in terms of growth percentage. I have to deal with Android lovers here on a regular basis, but I still clutch my iPhone as being far superior to what they use (even though my network coverage stinks compared to their's). Yes, Android is gaining, but it's far from being the..... [ read more ]

(Update: We got a fresh rumor this morning about a true replacement to Moto Droid, the Droid 2, or whatever it's called is rumored to be released by early August or September. We're highly skeptical, but it's entirely possible, with cases popping up left and right for Droid 2) The life-cycle for a mobile phone gets shorter with every new release. As a drool worthy phone comes to market,..... [ read more ]

Nintendo DS/DSi/DSi-XL sales have finally slowed down. Nintendo just reported a huge loss and a huge drop in DS sales around the world. Shocking? Disappointing? To me? Not really. It was coming, wouldn't you say? I mean, how many of these things can a single person own? Nintendo's sold enough DS's that you see just about every kid in an airplane..... [ read more ]
