Before reading this review, you should know two things. 1) I don't own this camera, nor did I get a sample unit to test. 2) I might just be the slightest bit bias when it comes to FujiFilm. My very first camera was a FujiFilm and I still have it the stellar 35mm pocket cam today.
All that being said, these impressions are all from our extensive hands-on..... [ read more ] Mar 24

Nintendo, confirmed yesterday the existence of a 3D DS console aptly called Nintendo 3DS. It's not a 3D-FPS capable system, but a true 3D console without the use of any type of special glasses.
Screen size is said to be similar to the larger DSi XL, so it's going to have a heftier screen size than a DS available today. The real kicker is being able to..... [ read more ] Jan 18
I'm not impressed by 3D on the home screen. I find it to be too gimmicky to really be viable long term. The simple fact of the matter is, I don't want to watch TV with another pair of glasses on. They call it “Cell TV”, and claim the processor is capable of 1000 trillion computations a second. That heavy processing is used to combine two 240 Hz bitstreams, one for each eye. ..... 3D TV is all over the place at CES. It seems like every major company that makes TV’s is making a 3D TV. In addition to LG, Tech Bucket Blog also saw 3D systems from Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba, nVidia, and more. Sharp is also working on one that’s still in development. It seems like it’s more than just a gimmick. It looks like a trend.

3D has invaded CES. If you haven't heard by now, there's 3D everywhere. 3D for your car, 3D for your TV, 3D for your projector, 3D for your games, 3D for your digital pictures, 3D for your camera, 3D for your home movies, 3D for your food, and 3D for just about every part of your digital life that you can think of. Is that enough of the use of..... [ read more ]
