ATRIX In Motion

By Mordecai Jones News No Comments »
ATRIX 4G's "desktop" environment is pretty impressive. With the optional dock, you're able to connect to an external monitor/TV (running at 1080p) via HDMI. Wireless keyboards and mice are supported via bluetooth or USB (also via the dock). Without the dock, ATRIX is a super fast Android ripping smartphone. Add the dock into play and you've got the..... Now is the perfect time to remind everyone about the Tech industry's cyclical pattern. Yes, there's innovations, but as we all know, a lot of the commercialized products we see and use today all had their roots way back when. While Moto's ATRIX is cool and certainly exciting, let's not forget that we've been down this road before with Palm's..... [ read more ]

Moto's ATRIX 4G is friggin' cool. Soooo cool that I might just get ATRIX (pronounced "A"-TRIX, like the "A-Team) instead of the rumored (and all but confirmed) soon-to-be here Verizon iPhone. Yes, you Verizon CEO...play all the games you want, but it's the worst kept secret...EVER. And everyone at Moto's booth knows the coolness-mojo they got going. ..... [ read more ]

Android knows it's got a few more months before the real battle begins. Once iPhone goes multi-carrier in the US, it'll be a head-to-head battle for your mobile money. Android has always been the "other" OS on the non-iPhone carrier (Verizon). While iPhone's been the device (and OS) that has set the mobile standard, Android has always drawn comparisons to iPhone and iOS. You can't look at..... [ read more ]

Poor Dell. It's not been a good week for them. First, they try to buy a storage company (3PAR) and get out-bid by HP, by a lot. Now, they're much touted Android devices are taking a nasty beating in the reviews. It doesn't help Dell that their Android devices are running 1.5 and 1.6 Android OS. Almost inexplicable that you would even release an Android device without the latest and much..... [ read more ]

(Samsung Galaxy was shy, so we'll have the iPad do a little stand-in) Hardware makers know this. If you let someone borrow a prototype unit, it'll get outed for sure. Units get left behind (stolen? I'll leave it alone), lost (stolen?), or just plain spotted by eagle eyed bloggers and media types everywhere. When the tester is more than willing to talk about the device's features as a guy..... Phased out, slow, clunky keyboard and all, Droid 1 users finally are getting Android 2.2 (FroYo). Updates started trickling out over the last two weeks and we finally got our's last night around 2AM. During a sleeping pee-break (not at the sametime of course), I do what most smartphone junkies do, check my phone for any super important 2AM e-mails. Even if the inbox is empty, I still feel..... My contract with ATT is up at the end of October. I could've renewed a long while ago, but I haven't been too happy with my iPhone service lately. 3G coverage has been spotty at best and I hate those pesky dropped calls I keep getting. Nothing gets me going more when my friends on Verizon can make calls standing in the same spot, when I have no bars. Maybe a few other things, but not a..... [ read more ]
