I'd really like to give Requiem Software Labs the benefit of the doubt here and say that Beatdown Boxing Lite suffers because it's a free app, and the full paid app is much better.
But I can't really honestly say that. This app is bad, even for a free app. Controls are wonky and takes a lot of getting used to it. Unfortunately, it's the touch-screen..... [ read more ] Mar 04

So I got a Droid finally. Not really...Tech Bucket Blog got me a Droid, but I've still got my iPhone. But I, like a lot of other people on ATT's network, can't stand not having 3G or regular coverage on my phone. I'm in The Bay Area and I'm either not on 3G or barely have a signal especially when I'm in San Fran.
Don't get me wrong, the iPhone is..... [ read more ] Mar 04
Let's get it out of the way first. We absolutely love this app on Droid. It's single handedly the best gaming app for Droid, period. It's free, runs almost all NES rom files that you load onto your Droid phone and the emulation (sound and video) is spot on, right down to the occasional NES slow-down.
It's that good and it's free. How good and free? Golden Bucket Award good and free. Sure..... [ read more ] Mar 04

It's been an interesting process for everyone involved. Especially now as news comes in of another major earthquake. That's 3 now: Haiti, Chile, and now Taipei. We also had a minor little shake up in San..... [ read more ] Jan 26
My hard drive recently crashed. I tried to fix it and I failed. Through the process though, I went through a sort of crisis. I called it DCS (Disk Crash Syndrome).
During one of my many stages, I looked up how to fix my particular error (bad table or n-boot sector or..... [ read more ] Jan 25
Baseball is an awesome game. Some call the game slow and boring, I call the pace perfect. There's nothing like soaking a baseball game. The time just passes away without you even knowing it. 6-outs total and your onto the next inning. A few quick acrobatic catches or monster swings later, the game ends and you walk away with a certain sense of..... [ read more ] Jan 25
I don't like the stock music player on my Droid phone. The sound sometimes is really tinny, lows and mids are just gone. Worst part, I can't adjust it....ever!
I started my hunt for an Android music player with EQ or bass booster, but no luck. Besides the Android Market having a pretty poor interface for finding stuff, I really didn't know what I..... [ read more ] Jan 25
If you travel like some of us at Tech Bucket Blog do, then you'll probably have a smart-phone and you'll probably want (or already have) an app that helps you with flight information. For Android, there are lot of choices out there, but none are cleaner or easier to use than FlightStats.
We use "Flight Stats Lite", which is the free version. It gets ripped aport on Android Market for..... [ read more ]
