Dig it. For a few years running, CES's iLounge area has been one of the best places to be. Forget the tons of excellent exhibitors and easy access to tons of other areas (gaming, cars, and lots of fun gadgets), but it's where most of the most accessible "eye-candy" is.
Sure, the bigger companies have bigger booths and maybe more gadgets, fancy carpets..... [ read more ] Jan 09

Slap a candy logo onto a pair of headphone cans and for some reason, people lust after it. It's an almost pavlovian reaction. Show us some chocolate and we'll start salivating. Show us something as tasty as a Reese's Peanut Butter cup and even if it's a hunk of plastic, we'll want to gnaw on it like a pack of rabid dogs.
Even worse, tell us that you're..... [ read more ] Jan 07
I'm not convinced on Motorola's ATRIX just yet. It looks great and in demos I've seen, ATRIX runs, jumps, twirls and just does everything you'd want a portable mobile computer to be.
On paper, it looks like a solid mobile sub-netbook (and probably outperforms it in all aspects). So, why am I just not so sure about ATRIX? I should be drooling like..... [ read more ] Oct 01
Every once in a while we like to do these little social experiments and blog about it. A heated argument over never eating meat and eating a "normal" diet including meats in moderation...and you get the challenge of me (sworn lover of a nice rare, slightly singed cut of angus) going vegetarian for a week.
What brought this on, you ask? I was browsing one of my favorite corners of the web..... [ read more ] Sep 10
I'm not for either side of this religious book burning, religiously charged, politically striped issue.
Call me a poopie-head, but I see it both as the guy's freedom of speech and a totally asinine way of expressing it. Whatever you think about it, it's a pretty polarizing way of grabbing your 15 minutes of fame.
I won't pile-on here as media has vilified and even praised the guy for..... [ read more ] Sep 09
Android knows it's got a few more months before the real battle begins. Once iPhone goes multi-carrier in the US, it'll be a head-to-head battle for your mobile money.
Android has always been the "other" OS on the non-iPhone carrier (Verizon). While iPhone's been the device (and OS) that has set the mobile standard, Android has always drawn comparisons to iPhone and iOS.
You can't look at..... [ read more ] Sep 09
Poor ATT. A beleaguered wireless carrier that's been duking it out with Verizon Wireless (my carrier of choice, BTW) for the past few years, looks like they're about to lose some serious punching power.
If you've followed the match, both heavyweights (Verizon #1 in terms of most subscribers with ATT at a not so distant #2) have been putting on some serious moves.
Verizon's got a better..... [ read more ]
