A few titles during E3 always stick in your mind and you hunger for the release date like it was some super tastey pizza. You crave to play the game again and eager for a fix like some hooked addict. It's that instant when you see the game in action and play it for a few seconds that you know, this is a freakin' awesome game. You know the feeling. ..... [ read more ]

You might recall wearable gaming accessories a-la NES Powerglove. There were even virtual fighting rings where you stepped in and jump and kick your way through a game. For the most part, they all sort of fell flat. Powerglove was cool ("it's so bad, it's cool"?) and worked with a few games, but overall the controller added more complexity to a game that..... Mord, you're a pig. We all know what you did during E3, so here's my little payback. Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring as written by a girl. Honestly, I know nothing about Mexico's own WWE type wrestling called Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA for short). Being a Cali-girl, I've seen a few matches here and there on Spanish TV once in a while...... [ read more ]

Pretty, n'est-ce pas? Like me, she (I don't even know her name!) was enough to get a lot of video gamer hearts fluttering. Yes, we all felt things like we never before. Something about chest armor and swords... There's a semi review in here somewhere. I'm not just aimlessly typing, even though thinking about Rift sort of puts my brain into persistent brain-fart mode. Rift, graphically..... [ read more ]

How in all thing holy can I ever turn down a tastey, cold, sugar-free, energy drink? Especially, when it's served by the wonderful ladies at the NOS kiosk as you enter E3? I can't, that's how. When the beverage is equally tastey as it is energy boosting, I don't mind at all. For an energy drink, NOS is one of those big ounce style drinks. It's really..... [ read more ]

PS3 Move got your excited and looking forward to possibly better than Wii motion controls? Splitfish brings home something similar and maybe even more compelling. It's officially called: Dual SFX Evolution PS3 Wireless Controller. We'll call it Evolution for short. Visually speaking, it's essentially a PS3 controller cut in half and smoothed out a bit. ..... A fighting game involving mythology, weapons, dynamic enviorments, and a pretty cool story line. At this point, you might be thinking the classic yet awesome Soul Calibur series. Unfortunately, the much maligned and often (sometimes rightfully so) decried as underpowered Wii isn't about to get Soul Calibur anytime soon. The only way to get your Soul..... [ read more ]

Just exactly how awesome is Virtusphere's giant ball of a controller? Yup. Friggin' awesome! The experience left those me, (who lined up in the strangely small line (only about 5 people deep) in a far, slightly tucked away side on E3's floor) in total and complete amazement and wanting more. This is probably the best thing we'll have to an affordable holodeck in our lifetime, unless..... [ read more ]
