Check out Casio's ecofriendly watches. In one way, all of Casio's solar powered watches are ecofriendly since you probably never have to change the battery. Just shine it out in the sun and the tiny solar panels (similar to those on a calculator) charge the watch. It's that simple. Consider the G-Shock line which is almost..... [ read more ]

The kind folks (and ecofriendly) at IOGEAR ran a contest recently for the Solar Bluetooth Hands Free Car-Kit. They were so kind (Thanks again IOGEAR) that they gave us a unit to use in our own Earth Day awareness contest. So, here we go! We're pretty much split on it, so we thought we take a stab at presenting what we think are the most common points for both sides of the argument. Of course, with our opinions throw in for good..... A while back, I don't know how far back, a few scientist came up with the concept that animal manure (specifically of the bovine variety) contribute significant amounts of green house gases. Poop, chicken farts, pig farts, and other general junk coming out of the rear ends of farm animals are responsible for our current state of global warming. It's a..... [ read more ]

This is Copy Editor Joanne Li's final contribution of our unplugged event. She called me over the phone and we "typed" this out together. Begin Post: I think vegetarians get a bad rap. I noticed a few times, when I asked what was vegetarian on a menu, people looked at me like I was some crunchy freak. I'm not, I'm a pretty normal Cali-girl, so I don't know what the deal is. Some..... [ read more ]
