We do stupid things every once in a while. It's true. I mean, we throw pizza reviews in with tech gear. I mean, we even take time out out to review the iRenew bracelet. We did order one for Mord a while back. 6-8 weeks later, it finally arrived. We've reviewed and you've commented on the original article with a few, let's just call them "well-placed"..... Every once in a while we like to do these little social experiments and blog about it. A heated argument over never eating meat and eating a "normal" diet including meats in moderation...and you get the challenge of me (sworn lover of a nice rare, slightly singed cut of angus) going vegetarian for a week. What brought this on, you ask? I was browsing one of my favorite corners of the web..... [ read more ]

I'm not for either side of this religious book burning, religiously charged, politically striped issue. Call me a poopie-head, but I see it both as the guy's freedom of speech and a totally asinine way of expressing it. Whatever you think about it, it's a pretty polarizing way of grabbing your 15 minutes of fame. I won't pile-on here as media has vilified and even praised the guy for..... [ read more ]

I highly doubt the FTC's recent investigation of a marketing company, accused of engaging in fake reviews for certain App Store titles, will make much of an impact on the loathsome practice. Bots, if you don't know, have invaded comments and review blogs. They'll put just about anything up to impress Editors like us and readers like you to buy something or promote it. Some of them are just..... [ read more ]

I took a small, few days away from my editorial duties and I may have forgotten to tell people about it until my plane landed in Pennsylvania as part of the annual Baker Family vacation. I tried to post a few articles, I really did. But who knew that everything except the emergency cell phone was banned from this family trip? So, the entire family ages 22-59 buckled into a spacious 15 person..... [ read more ]

You might not like what I'm about to say. You might totally disagree with me and probably want to burn my PC into a molten pile of plastic goo. But you just know, that I don't care. There's a "high" class food craze blowing into every little bit of our lives. Celebrity chefs are everywhere hawking their injection molded, made in third-world country (or worse), wares at astronomical prices. ..... [ read more ]

In between by StarCraft 2 rounds of RTS fun, I decided to try to finish up Ace Combat 5 on PS2. Old school flying fun. If you've played this game, then you know that one of the hardest levels to score the coveted "S" grade on is mission 18b otherwise known as "8492nd" where you get a ton of enemy fighters throwing missiles at you every turn you take. Fly reckless, slow down: instant..... [ read more ]

Everyday I lose a little more trust for our elected government officials. I don't need to tell anyone that these are economically tough times. Government workers, the bees that do the work, and everyday people are losing their jobs. Sometimes they're just struggling to keep themselves and their families going. Yet, somehow, whenever you watch the news, you get images of our elected..... [ read more ]
