I'm going to add to the rampant speculation for an iPhone 4 hardware fix to the antenna. It's not just me though. Apple's news that iPhone 4 White shipments have been delayed (again) along with a hard stop to the rubber bumper and case give-away program on September 30th, has led most spectators to guess that a hardware fix is in the works. Why else would the give-away end? What about the..... [ read more ]

Is it just me? Over the last two weeks, I've spotted a huge number of CHP and local police officers in police cars using their cell phones. I mean really. At first, I kinda did a double take when I saw one female officer next to me at a stop light using her cell phone (in California, we have a headset law, and there was no headset). No big deal I though, police officers are human..... [ read more ]

Here's the thing. I wrote that iRenew post a few days ago on a freakin' lark. Mostly just to vent my lack of progress in getting one. It seems though, we've gotten so many hits on that one little not even investigative post that I'm actually getting one soon to test. Yup. Surprised the heck out of me when during our weekly editorial review meeting that my request got approved. I can't..... [ read more ]

It's been a while since I picked up Ace Combat 5 on PS2. A long, long while. So long, that I completely and utterly suck at it. It took me a few go rounds of getting blasted out of the sky and I was going through missiles like salt water taffy. Who doesn't love salt water taffy? Not only is the campaign mode (the regular game mode) fun, but there's..... [ read more ]

What's wrong with going back on the moon? I'd freakin' like to see that in HD. Heck, NASA could make the whole thing pay-per view and tons of people would pay for it in full HD (even make it 3D) glory. I would and I bet it'd go a long way to solving some of NASA's money woes. Do like MMA. Make it into an event. Instead, we'll be going farther out to..... [ read more ]

Well...not really. One US Senator, Chuck Schumer has gotten vocal about Apple's recent iPhone 4 antenna/signal issues. Senator Schumer posted an open letter to Steve Jobs to fix the issue. I love this guy. No matter what folks say about him, at least he's in the Senate working. Sure, there are 99 other Senators, but in this blogger's opinion, no other Senator works harder (or grabs the..... [ read more ]

Yeah Dan, you're right. Buffalo is not an easy city to behave in. In fact, there's so much to do that it's hard not to be out throwing a few back and tearin' one off. The beer flows steady and there's plenty of grub to send it all down the gullet. So, Dan LeBatard, I give you credit for trying to promote Buffalo's wealth of activities. Even though you..... Buffalo, NY is not a city that people flock to for vacation. They get a lot of snow, have a few sports teams with heart breaking fails (4 straight Super Bowl loses, Stanley Cup let-downs, just to name a few), and beyond the wings and Niagara Falls, Buffalo isn't know for too much more. Yet, somehow the city gets a lot of crap dumped on them. Yeah, I..... [ read more ]
