When I think movies and snacking, I go for what everyone else in America reaches for: popcorn. Often buttery, mostly salty and always tastey. We'll pair popcorn with a cold beverage of choice. The more buttery-salty the popcorn, the better refreshing the beer. Dunno really how it works and don't care much about it. Just need to know it properly feeds the munchies. So thinking Oscars,..... Jimmy Buffet took a song (a pretty funky and relaxing tune) and turned it into a big-big franchise: Margaritaville themed restaurants. Sort of like Rain Forrest Cafe meets beech loafing, only not as annoyingly with the fake animals and birds. I've never been, so last day of CES as we finished up, what the heck right? We travelled down to Margaritaville..... [ read more ]

What sells better candy better than sex? Not much. Especially when the folks at Hershey look like they're clearly going after the female demographic at CES. And I'm going to preface what I'm about to say with this: I'm describing this as best as I can for the benefit of our readers. I mean these guys were totally tall, chiseled-well-built,..... I love duck. And I love goose. Especially when it's carved by a masterful artist like this guy and cooked in traditional methods that haven't changed in over 200 years in place called Quan Ju De. Whatever "Quan Ju De" means, I don't really care. You can look it up on Wikipedia or Google it. To me, it means delicious duck (that's really a borderline..... [ read more ]

We were treated to some pretty fantastic meals while we were in China. On various evenings, we were invited by potential vendors and partners that we met with China to dinner and a night out. Dinner ranged from simple selections all the way up to the super expensive made to order, us in our little "dining" room away from everyone else being attended by..... [ read more ]
