Wii sales are slumping and the associated software sales, in a word suck. Really really suck. Wii games, outside of the core Nintendo staples a-la Zelda and such, have never really done that well. Way back 2007-2008, when Wii hardware sales were ripping the charts, developers got caught with their pants down. So they took the cheapest and fastest way back into the Wii market. Hoark,..... Move bundle pricing was announced earlier this week. If you've already spent $300 on a PS3 slim, then you'll just need to spend an extra $100-$150 to get your "Move" on (cheap pun...please forgive me). If you've been dying to jump into PS3 (yet another cheap reference, I promise, my last) and haven't done it earlier because you just have to have your motion controller, then get ready to drop..... Amazing. After all that gripping and complaining by so-called StarCraft fans, StarCraft II still sold 1.5 million copies in 48 hours. I'm impressed. The game is a worthy sequel and just plain fun. I've been enjoying it since the 27th, and I still can't enough of it. Blizzard, clearly has another hit on their hands and it's no surprise to me. It..... [ read more ]

In between by StarCraft 2 rounds of RTS fun, I decided to try to finish up Ace Combat 5 on PS2. Old school flying fun. If you've played this game, then you know that one of the hardest levels to score the coveted "S" grade on is mission 18b otherwise known as "8492nd" where you get a ton of enemy fighters throwing missiles at you every turn you take. Fly reckless, slow down: instant..... [ read more ]

I won't spoil anything about StarCraft II for you. Nothing about the story or the campaign mode or about how Blizzard is going to make you buy a whole more StarCraft II expansion packs in the near future. Nope. None of that kind of stuff. This is just a straight forward, nothin' fancy review. You should know, I'm a StarCraft guy. I never got into..... [ read more ]

StarCraft II is out in the wild today and Mard's hard at work gaming away. The only note we got from him today was a text sent out to all of us around 11:52 PM, Pacific Time. It read: "Come over for sc2. Fun. Need food, bring bevs, tks". To which we all respond in unison: "jerk". Just wanted to get that out. Leave an StarCraft 2 comment and you never..... [ read more ]

I dunno if it's a record for pre-orders and frankly, I don't care. 800,000 on the first day of sales is impressive for any game, forget that it's just friggin' pre-orders. What do you expect from the sequel to a title that sold over 11million copies???!!! StarCraft kicks the lama's ass and then some. The original title along with its expansion packs,..... [ read more ]
