(Image from Getty Images and The Buffalo News) Team USA played one heck of a game yesterday. Unfortunately, they lost 3-2 in OT and Sydney Crosby had a spectacular, quick wrister on Ryan Miller's 5-hole for the winning goal in OT. Really unfortunate as Ryan Miller and Team USA played fantastic in this Olympic Tournament and deserved a win. In the end..... [ read more ]

Blades of Steel is a quality hockey game. There are elements of action in there that just came off really well (voices, graphics, gameplay, etc) that make it a real treasure if you're a hockey fan. But, utter the words "fatty, medium, and skinny" to an NES fan and they'll say "Ice Hockey!!!" excitedly and proudly. Nintendo's first party Ice Hockey is one..... [ read more ]

With the Gold Medal game today between Team USA and Canada, I thought it only appropriate to review a few classic hockey games on Wii VC. There are a few on there and Konami's Blades of Steel is a great one. A lot of things to like in this game, but get in your way-back machine and dial up NES gaming days. You'll note that gaming back in the '80's and..... [ read more ]

Men's Team USA has a huge match-up against gold medal favorites Team Canada on February 21, at..... [ read more ]

Men's Team USA has opening face-off against Norway at 12pm Pacific. Women's Team USA has opening face-off against Finland at 2:30 Pacific. Watch it! I'll be watching both games. Women's hockey, though, is better than I thought it would be. A lot of fun actually and just a little bit different than Men's game in my opinion. Not like the huge transition..... [ read more ]

If you missed Team USA Hockey yesterday, you missed a thrilling performance on the Women's side and a great game on the Men's side. Women's Team USA Hockey thumped Russia 13-0 and advanced into the playoffs. That's right. 13-0. Two goalie changes by Russia and the US kept coming. 12-0 after two periods. Awesome game and Team USA put on a skating and..... [ read more ]
