MusicSkins last year grabbed attention at CES with launching their exclusive Beatles line-up of iPod/iPhone (and others) skins and wraps. Custom designed logos and Beatles album art made their booth totally popular and one of the must-have items for Beatles fans. Throw in Beatles now being completely available on iTunes and it's been a banner year for..... [ read more ]

I'll lay it out straight and simple. With a name like ChicBuds, I'm a little shy about checking them out. The leopard fur print, pastel colored ultra-mini-tiny, itty-bitty, mono-speakers scare me. But you know what? I can't stop looking and listening to these babies. They are funky cool with just the right amount of...I can't believe I'm saying..... [ read more ]

I kinda do like Gumdrop cases for iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad. They're siliconey-rubbery, and slap on pretty tight. The cases' single purpose is to offer some protection from scratches and drops. Gumdrop cases are bubbly and, appropriately, come in bubble gum bright colors. Textured to match the "lifestyle" of each target market: surfers, boarders,..... [ read more ]

Simple is good. At first glance iHold Technologies and their cases, stands, and lanyards for iPod Touch/iPhone that's really all you see. Look just a little big closer and you'll find little design curves on the sturdy metal stand, perfect for business cards. Look even a little more closer and you might see something that you want to add on your desk. Overall, not bad. It's simple and it's..... [ read more ]

Not exactly what you're thinking. We found this funky named group offering up a unique music sharing solution over at CES' iLounge area. These are magnetically coupled headphones. You can connect up to 3 proprietary headphones to one primary "module" via a magnetic daisy chain that takes the place of a "Y" cable and 3.5mm jack all in one. Conceptually,..... [ read more ]

Forget for a second that we're partial when it comes to skins. It's a simple fact that the best looking skins (no matter how fancy) when applied incorrectly like the way we usually slap them on, look like crap. It's true. Spend $20 on an iPod skin, put it on wrong and the thing looks ugly. Even the simplest "wraps" can be applied wrong and it can get..... [ read more ]

Ever since Lord Jobs spoke about the tiny iPod Nano and its funkiness to make a cool watch out of it, iPod accessory makers have done exactly that. Nowhere more evident than at CES' iLounge area. Every maker had a watch-band case for iPod Nano, but only a few are even worth mentioning. TUNEWEAR's offering is one of (if not THE) the best ones out..... [ read more ]

We finally got a few iPads and promptly gave them away. Our team, purely for karma, "donated" them to our Beijing based web-team. The line to get one in Beijing is long. There's an industry of "iPad" buyers who charge you a cool USD $1,000 to wait in line and get one for you. Some prices are reported as high as $,1500 USD. You can get on in certain stores for around $700-$800. For the..... [ read more ]
