If you're not watching playoff baseball, there's something wrong with you. I can understand when you don't want to watch 162 regular season games. But this is the playoffs!!! The air gets cooler, leaves start changing (if you're lucky enough to live in that kinda climate) and every other US major sports leagues are kicking off, about to, or in solid mid-season. If you like sports, this is..... [ read more ]

The annual Brett Favre watch is about to come to an end. CNNSI.com is reporting that a Vikings private charter has landed earlier today in Minneapolis, arriving from Mississippi, where Favre has been working out and resting up his ankle. Last week there were sporadic reports of Favre visiting Florida to meet up with the doc who performed his ankle repair surgery. Favre's Twitter feed also..... [ read more ]

SI's Peter King is one of my favorite sports writers, has been for a long time. Honest, opinionated, even when he's admitting he's wrong. If you haven't been following this story, here's a recap. Peter King wrote last year on TO's next team after the Buffalo Bills. Purely off the cuff (he's a pretty big guy, not that big guy's can't run), he wrote that..... [ read more ]

If you're a Yankee faithful, then you know what it's like. You get boo'd for being a fan or praised for following the greatest team in the history of baseball. It's strange, but George Steinbrenner's spending ways get him a lot of crap for an owner who's willing to spend money to make his team better. It's the elitist view, in my opinion, and folks hate it when the Yankees owners spends more..... [ read more ]

Yeah Dan, you're right. Buffalo is not an easy city to behave in. In fact, there's so much to do that it's hard not to be out throwing a few back and tearin' one off. The beer flows steady and there's plenty of grub to send it all down the gullet. So, Dan LeBatard, I give you credit for trying to promote Buffalo's wealth of activities. Even though you..... Buffalo, NY is not a city that people flock to for vacation. They get a lot of snow, have a few sports teams with heart breaking fails (4 straight Super Bowl loses, Stanley Cup let-downs, just to name a few), and beyond the wings and Niagara Falls, Buffalo isn't know for too much more. Yet, somehow the city gets a lot of crap dumped on them. Yeah, I..... [ read more ]

Sorry Wii hockey fans, no NHL 2011 game for you, but EA Sports is still going to show you the love with EA Sports NHL Slapshot for Wii. It's a ground level up effort for Wii that started out as a simple gathering that turned into tinkering around with duct-tape, Wii remote and nunchuk. Combine the 3 together, along with a healthy dose of Canadian..... [ read more ]

I'm a little ashamed to say it, especially in America where NFL football, baseball, basketball, and even hockey, are the national tough guy sports. But, I love FIFA World Cup soccer. Normally, I'm not an avid fan of soccer to the point where I know the names of the strikers and keepers. Soccer is team just like hockey is about playing with the rest of the boys. Just like hockey, individual..... [ read more ]
