For the average Japanese gamer, strategy games have been around for a long time. Back in the late '80's they were enjoying strategy games on home consoles (Famicom and the rest) way before us. See, back then, US market was an after thought.
As any American gamer will tell you, things have changed a little. Japanese companies still rule the gaming..... [ read more ] Mar 15
The picture of a TurboCD is not mine. In fact, I never owned the TG-16 CD add-on. Not many of us could when it debuted. You see, it was a whopping $399 for the CD add-on that opened up arcade quality abilities in the TG-16. Games like "Fighting Street" (Street Fighter Prime) and full motion movies and sounds like Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective and..... [ read more ] Mar 12
Okay Nintendo, for some reason, Wii VC has just taken a total back seat in your book. I don't know why, maybe you're not making enough money or maybe you think that just dripping out one game at a time will keep us fans even more interested.

So, it's really puzzling to me that Nintendo has not released more classic Sega Master..... [ read more ] Mar 01
Wii VC returns today with one, single addition. After a week of nothing, Nintendo releases just one Wii VC game today along with a host of WiiWare and DSiWare games.
For Wii VC, we get Fatal Fury Special. Unfortunately, I have no desire to play the game today and I'm not about to recommend it. Why? Well, for one, NEO GEO games on Wii are really..... [ read more ] Feb 28
Blades of Steel is a quality hockey game. There are elements of action in there that just came off really well (voices, graphics, gameplay, etc) that make it a real treasure if you're a hockey fan.
But, utter the words "fatty, medium, and skinny" to an NES fan and they'll say "Ice Hockey!!!" excitedly and proudly. Nintendo's first party Ice Hockey is one..... [ read more ]
