I have nothing but compliments to Nintendo. Their repair and customer service process is stellar. But, it all comes with a price. An out of warranty Wii repair for noisy disc drive will cost you around $93 (includes taxes and shipping fees).
The experience is second to none. Nintendo communicates with you, [...]

Nintendo’s Wii is a loud bugger of a console, even on its best days. But there’s a little plastic part in the Wii, near the disc spinner-head thingy, that sometimes starts to vibrate out of control.
And just like that, the Wii gets louder and louder as the part deteriorates over time. The vibration [...]

Wii sales are cooling off. Nintendo’s hype machine is set on this year’s versions of tried and true franchises (Zelda, Mario and Samus), with the yet to be seen towering pile of shovelware branded as “family fun”.
Sad, but if families actually played that crap, it’d probably boil down to dysfunctional freakin’ fast.
3DS’s hype hasn’t [...]

I’m usually one to decry Wii ports and stay clear like week old sashimi. For Sid Meier’s Pirates!, I’ll make an exception.
Regardless of the platform, quality, well designed games like Pirates! usually turn out to be fun and well worth it. Consdier that I have every version of Sid Meier’s Pirates! (from Apple [...]

There’s a logical excuse why Nintendo doesn’t release certain back catalog titles for Wii VC. We’ve heard everything from lack of public interest in or my favorite: too much effort for too little cash.
I can totally understand those points and they’re valid. But, even the casual Wii VC gamer and slightest bit retro-gaming [...]

Calling Wii VC “ignored” is nothing more than a severe understatement. Red-headed step children get more attention than Wii’s once touted feature. Heck, even your neighborhood whipping boy is more noticed.
It’s gotten to a point where besides the back catalog, at some point, you’d think Nintendo would stop mentioning the service.
Oh wait…they pretty [...]

Wii sales are slumping and the associated software sales, in a word suck. Really really suck.
Wii games, outside of the core Nintendo staples a-la Zelda and such, have never really done that well.
Way back 2007-2008, when Wii hardware sales were ripping the charts, developers got caught with their pants down.
So they took [...]

I think it’s an inevitability. Unless something goes completely wrong, I think Sara’s going to have to deal with her fear of clowns yet again as Aero The Acrobat had a sequel.
And I liked it wayyy more than the first one.
There’s a lot to like and control issues from the last game are mostly [...]
