Like death and taxes, Apple is going to update the iPad soon. When and how, nobody really knows. Sure, there are few "in-the-know" analysts and experts who claim every date from January 2011-September 2011 as a release date. Casting a net that wide just seems like a fools bet on a roulette table to me.

Research In Motion announced their Blackberry Playbook yesterday and the blogosphere lit up with excitement and pessimism. Color us as one of the skeptics.

So? Even us prognosticators get things wrong once in while. While some of us here have had January 2011 pegged as the rock solid, bank it, claim it, whatever it date that iPhone finally comes to Verizon; I've sort of been holding out on 2012 as more of a likely date.

Poor ATT. A beleaguered wireless carrier that's been duking it out with Verizon Wireless (my carrier of choice, BTW) for the past few years, looks like they're about to lose some serious punching power.
If you've followed the match, both heavyweights (Verizon #1 in terms of most subscribers with ATT at a not so distant #2) have been putting on some serious moves.

This is news that I've been waiting for. Piers Morgan from America's Got Talent (one of our favorite junk, but so so fun TV shows) will be taking over for Larry King on CNN's Larry King Live in January.
