Case mods are cool, but sometimes tough to install. Have enough love for your console and you'll do what it takes to slap a saw blade, shotgun shells and various blood and guts on there.
It's a symbol of not only your gaming prowess, but an extension of who you are. Too much and you lose that coolness and start looking like you're overcompensating.

So an Xbox360 gamer hailing from Fort Gay, West Virginia recently got his Xbox Live account suspended. All because he lived in a town called Fort Gay.
Unfortunately for M$, it turns out that Fort Gay is indeed a real town. So the wrongfully accused offender, Josh Moore, contacted M$ and, well, they basically hung up on him.
The story goes that the Mayor of Fort Gay had to get involved to..... [ read more ] Aug 20
Move bundle pricing was announced earlier this week. If you've already spent $300 on a PS3 slim, then you'll just need to spend an extra $100-$150 to get your "Move" on (cheap pun...please forgive me).
If you've been dying to jump into PS3 (yet another cheap reference, I promise, my last) and haven't done it earlier because you just have to have your motion controller, then get ready to drop..... [ read more ] Jul 21
So Kinect's pricing is finally official. After all the unintentional leaks and early postings on e-tailer sites, Kinect is now offically priced at $149.99.
In case you haven't been following, the "controller" is essentially a super-amped up PS2 Eye-Toy like camera (maybe slightly better than PS3's Eye-Toy 2, but not much) with prettier graphics. Throw in there a small a visual field "sensor"..... [ read more ] Jul 06
A few titles during E3 always stick in your mind and you hunger for the release date like it was some super tastey pizza. You crave to play the game again and eager for a fix like some hooked addict. It's that instant when you see the game in action and play it for a few seconds that you know, this is a freakin' awesome game.
You know the feeling. ..... [ read more ] Jul 06
You might recall wearable gaming accessories a-la NES Powerglove. There were even virtual fighting rings where you stepped in and jump and kick your way through a game.
For the most part, they all sort of fell flat. Powerglove was cool ("it's so bad, it's cool"?) and worked with a few games, but overall the controller added more complexity to a game that..... [ read more ] Jul 02
Mord, you're a pig. We all know what you did during E3, so here's my little payback. Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring as written by a girl.
Honestly, I know nothing about Mexico's own WWE type wrestling called Asistencia AsesorÃa y Administración (AAA for short). Being a Cali-girl, I've seen a few matches here and there on Spanish TV once in a while...... [ read more ] Jun 29
These days you can't look at a console without commenting on its controllers. Call me an old fart, but sometimes I long for the days when controllers were a D-pad and a few buttons. Unfortunately, I have to admit, the analog stick is here forever. There's no point in arguing that point.
To me though, the best controller was and always will be the..... [ read more ]
